**What Do You Do When You’re Not Getting Clients?

There are six key principles I teach to create a successful business, and I’ll be diving into each of them in workshops next year—and including them in my upcoming book. Today, I want to introduce one of those principles in the hope that it makes a difference for you. Remember that this is one of six and all six are necessary for financial success.

When you’re struggling to gain clients, ask yourself this critical question: How well have you tied your products or services to what the market genuinely needs and wants? I’m talking about finding out what real people’s needs are, not just using hypothetical ideas about what you think they might need.

Remember, your dream to have a business isn’t just about you. It’s about serving others. To truly understand their needs and wants, you must have deeper conversations. Early on, I made the mistake of thinking that sharing my experiences and showcasing my expertise would be enough to attract clients. I was dead wrong.

Business is about filling real needs. Once I understood that, I began to approach conversations with curiosity:

  • What are people struggling with?

  • What’s keeping them up at night?

  • What would they love instead?

It became less about me and more about them. My job was to uncover how I could help solve their problems using my expertise. This shift changed everything. I honed my skills in listening and asking meaningful questions. I left assumptions at the door and focused on gaining a full understanding of each person’s unique situation. Giving advice without all the details is like writing a prescription without a diagnosis—it doesn’t work.

But here’s the real turning point: I stopped focusing on quick advice and started solving the bigger problem. I dug deep with clients, helping them not just with surface issues but with transformational strategies that enabled them to make money doing work they were passionate about. This is why I shifted to a one-on-one coaching model. And the results? They’ve been incredible. Clients have achieved milestones like:

  • Earning $16K from their first group coaching program.

  • Securing $60K in their first corporate contract.

  • Earning enough income to leave their corporate jobs.

So, what’s one step you can take right now to bring in more clients? Start by discovering what people really need. Dig deep. Then ask yourself, “How can I best help?” Once you’ve answered that and understand your own value—the impact you have on others—you’ll be in a position to charge what you’re truly worth. The next step is to put together an offer that meets their needs.

If you’ve been struggling to get clients, it’s okay. I’ve been there. Please don’t shutter your business doors, reach out instead! I’m here for you! Let’s work together to clarify your value and turn your passion into profit quicker so you can achieve the success and impact that you’ve been desiring.
